Lisa Murray is the daughter of the late Rev. Dr. Joe and the late Catherine W. Cruell Murray. She is a native of Greenville, South Carolina. She is a proud product of one of South Carolina’s Baptist babies Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina. She grew up in the historical Rocky Baptist Association at both Mountain Springs Baptist Church and New Mount Pisgah Baptist Church where her father served as pastor. A love for God’s word and serving His people was instilled in her at an early age. She is a member of St. Paul Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC where Dr. R.C. Scott serves as the pastor.

Lisa is a former Sunday school that has served in the following capacities:

  •  Assistant Young Adult Director for District 3 Group 1
  • Secretary of the Young Adult Department of The Mecklenburg County Missionary Union
  • Executive Board Secretary of The Woman’s Baptist Home and Foreign Convention of NC

She currently holds the office of 3rd Vice President of The Mecklenburg County Missionary Union.

Lisa has enjoyed an over 20-year career in Healthcare Administration and Financial Management. Her passion is the work of missions and exploring opportunities to make carrying out The Great Commission relevant to serving the present age. She is a fervent believer that traditionalism and progressiveness can work in tandem to advance The Kingdom of God.
